Viva Barcelona!

This project was inspired by the gridded streets of the L’Eixample section of Barcelona. I have to thank Annie over at Blunt Crayon because without her post I would have never discovered this gem. In her post she included some photos of this section of the city and when I saw it I instantly thought, “Letters!” and I knew I needed to create something. I used Google Earth and Google Maps to put together a composite and using unaltered building forms spelled out B A R C E L O N A. Do yourself a favor and take a tour of the city here. You can also click on the image below to load a larger view.

Hope you enjoyed. As always, if you have any questions on how I did this or need advice on making your own, just holler! Thanks for reading and remember, today’s ideas become tomorrow realities.

Amazing, cannot wait. I’m looking at my post now, and am also seeing letters – it’s as though they were there all along, hiding from me.
